Kids, the cute little ones are the pioneers of our future, they are the ones who will shape the world. We know the importance of setting the right foundation from the very beginning and thus we take extreme care in teaching and training kids. In this ever-evolving era, they are the ones who will carry the baton of dance and Indian culture to the coming generations. When they commence their dance journey from such a tender age, they develop good resilience towards dance and can learn with passion for a long time to come as they grow.  
 
At Swastik we offer Kathak, Bollywood, Kathak and Bollywood combo, Bhangra and Bolly-Hip hop classes for Kids.  
 
We take the kids from 4 to 7 years of age as by then they have a fair level of understanding and can take in the dance steps, positively engage with the other kids and enjoy the class. 
 
While we teach Bollywood and several folk dances to give them a nice variety, keep them engaged and have fun, we also believe in setting a determined foundation in the classical dance form – Kathak. Instead of changing a million hobbies and mastering none, it is advised that they commit themselves to learning the nuances of dance and bound to ace it with proper guidance and practice. For several students who join dance as kids, and are determined, it becomes more than a hobby, it becomes their passion and a honed skill.  
 
Bollywood is offered alongside Kathak as Kathak is an Indian Classical dance form which requires sincerity and dedication. At a tender age of 4-7years it is difficult to get the kids to understand this and hence, when we make them have a lot of fun in the Bollywood sessions, they joyfully learn both and are eager to keep coming.  
 
If you know that your child already likes Kathak and you wish for them to learn this dance form, without Bollywood, they can get enrolled in only Kathak sessions we offer.  
 
In this era of increasing screen time, classes like Bolly-Hip Hop and Bhangra, which are highly energetic, keep their blood pumping and give them the physical activity and mental refreshment they need. At Swastik, training kids is a prime focus and we make sure we set the right foundation of dance for them from the very beginning.

Juniors classes are for children aged 7 to 10 yrs. We offer – Kathak, Bollywood, Kathak & Bollywood, Hip Hop and Bhangra – at three levels – Beginners, Intermediate, Advance.  
 
At this age, disciplining the mind and body of the children takes our primary attention. Once they start listening, observing and interpreting the teachings of their teacher, they start incepting dance at a deeper level, it becomes more than just fun, it starts its transformation towards becoming a life-long skill, which in turn enhances their overall creativity and performance.  
 
The intensity of learning and the commitment towards dance increases at the juniors level. They are keener towards dance and learning rather than only having fun. In Kathak, since their concentrations improve with age, we pour in a lot of work towards giving them a strong foundation – especially footwork, circles and techniques of Kathak. New todas, tukras, kavits, shloks and other intricacies of Kathak are introduced to them at this stage. During each term we have assessments which keep them attentive towards learning and encourage them to learn sincerely. 
 
Similarly, in Bollywood, since their memorizing abilities are enhanced by this age, they are given more complex choreos to learn and perform. The speed and overall levels are increased to match their age and learning capacity.  
 
Bhangra is a fun and rigorous for juniors. The steps are more complex than at the kids level and according to their developed physical abilities, they are given stronger steps to master. This challenge is really great for the juniors many of whom would love to stay glued to their screens.  
 
Juniors become more responsible for what they learn in their classes, there is an increased understanding of the more detailed aspects of dance, along with a developing sense of discipline, creativity and team spirit that comes with their group performances.

The aim of Swastik to create dancers, teachers and ambassadors of Indian dance and culture, takes fruition with the teens. They are the ones who understand, learn and spread the art among their peers giving it a place in the society and in the hearts of young talent.  
 
Pre-teens & Teens classes are for age 10yrs & above. We offer – Kathak, Bollywood, Kathak & Bollywood, Hip Hop and Bhangra – at three levels – Beginners, Intermediate, Advance.  
 
For many teens, Kathak and overall dance becomes more than just a side hobby. We have seen numerous teens become incredible dancers, choreographers and even teachers with their long-term relationship with Swastik.  
 
The grasping power of teens is very strong, hence according to their levels – beginners, intermediate or advance. Accordingly, they are put into a suitable class and we have seen teens grow in dance quickly due to the capabilities of their age.  
 
Kathak, this Indian classical dance form is greatly appreciated by the teenagers who are keen to develop their skills and practices beyond a set boundary. More attention to theory of Kathak is given for teens as they are at a learning stage. Teaching the teens the meaning behind the shloks, kavits, and other dance pieces makes it more meaningful and interesting for them to learn, remember and perform. During each term we have assessments which keep them attentive towards learning and encourage them to learn sincerely.  
 
At Swastik, we highly respect the importance of studies. We know the responsibilities the teens have to fulfill for their schools and future; hence we give them enough room to continue their dance practice by attending the classes as per their schedules and there is no compulsion to perform elsewhere. Even showcases are totally voluntary and they are free to choose if they wish to perform.  
 
Bollywood is a dance form that encourages teens to put themselves out in the world, when they are good at it and know it beforehand, they are encouraged to dance at parties, competitions and social gatherings. Along with complex and challenging choreos – according to their levels – beginner, intermediate or advance – we teach them Bollywood steps as well which they can use at several such occasions.  
 
Forms like Bhangra, which can be called a full cardio intense workout, is great for teens as they enjoy dancing and go through a good workout without even realizing.

Adults have a range of options like – Kathak, Bollywood,  Bhangra and Zumba. 
 
With our busy lives, dance becomes a beautiful retreat. It becomes a time for yourself, where you can leave all the undue stresses of life and just enjoy in the moment, learn something for yourself, do what you love and have a great dance social circle.  
 
Kathak for adults – we have several levels for adults Kathak as well – Beginners, Intermediate and Advance. Whether you are an advance student of Kathak since long or are a newbie wanting to learn this dance form first time, we have a class that suits you. The Kathak classes for adults at Swastik, are very well-structured with in-depth sessions of theory and practice. You get a chance to leave behind any inhibitions and perform at our showcase or other external events as well.  
 
Depending upon your level, you get a chance to attend several workshops with your dance buddies and experience Kathak directly from the maestros. The experiences are one of a kind and give you an internal glimpse into the world of Kathak.  
 
Bollywood classes for adults are a package of dance, energy and fun. You get to learn and perform awesome choreos designed as per your level, while having the best time of your week. You will absolutely fall in love with our Bollywood classes which have something for everyone. Don’t wish to remember the choreos and just have fun, try our Zumba.  
 
Options like Zumba and Bhangra are great as a dance-based workout which take you closer to your fitness goals while you have fun dancing.  
 
Zumba is an awesome dance workout where you dance to great music, with great people and burn a ton of calories without even realizing it. It is a mix of low-intensity, high-intensity and interval-style calorie-burning dance fitness party. Exercise in disguise with the Latin and World rhythms of Zumba, giving you all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. Zumba at Swastik is conducted by registered ZINs.
